Upon completion of their studies, graduates receive a diploma of the established form with the possibility of its legalization in accordance with international requirements.

Educational documents can be legalized with an apostille, which ensures recognition of the diploma in countries that have signed the Hague Convention.
Where to apply for document recognition
When issuing an educational document in a country that is a party to an international treaty (agreement) on legal assistance that provides for the abolition of legalization of official documents, legalization or apostille is not required.
To have educational documents (diploma, certificate) recognized, you can submit documents through the non-profit joint-stock company “State Corporation “Government for Citizens” or through the “electronic government” web portal.
To obtain a certificate of recognition of an educational document, the following documents are submitted:
identity card.
receipt of payment of state duty;
a copy of a legalized or apostilled educational document and its appendix (the original for verification, subject to return) and a notarized translation (if the document is entirely in a foreign language) of the educational document and its appendix, including a translation of the seal.

Cost of state duty ( details for payment of the service ):
For documents on basic and general secondary education – 6 MCI
For documents on technical and vocational education - 8 MCI
For documents on higher and postgraduate education - 10 MCI
To obtain a duplicate – 3 MCI
Service delivery period
Legalized/Apostilled documents:
When applying through the State Corporation of Astana or the portal - 15 working days;
When applying through the State Corporation of all regions – 30 working days.
Without legalization/apostille:
When applying through the State Corporation of Astana or the portal - 30 working days;
When applying through the State Corporation of all regions – 45 working days.
In this case, the application review period is extended by 10 working days if a repeated request is sent to a foreign educational organization.
The procedure for recognizing documents on academic degrees and academic titles falls within the competence of the Committee for Quality Assurance in Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan .
